Whats left of romance

Everything now is corny or passe... Expression on a daily basis is challenging

Whats left of candlelit dinners, long walks and a red rose is that they typify in the exact manner the unsaid. And that is what is predictable- A word which increasingly is detested by us today. Hence the ones pained, rack their brains, try and make do with nick names which make others want to bite their tongue.

To love or not to love is not the question. What is intriguing is how to show it.

Its not as simple as- well I got married because I fell in love. And I sometimes wonder why not. The crests, the troughs... the outbursts are the same. I never knew there was also something like sophisticated emotions.

Whats left of romance is movies..what remains is a yearning for it. No matter how much you loathe a larger than life YRF banner love story you'll always remember how the hero understands and places a strand of the heroins hair behind her ear without her uttering a word.. how your heart swells when you hear that song and long to create a memory you can associate with it.. how a Shahrukh Khan with a 'Nahi Simran main nahi aaunga ' became every woman's heartthrob.

These are not undying declarations of unconditional love in so many words, these are things subtly and beautifully confessed. It is not a algebraic problem which has its complications, it is just a simple understanding of what brings a smile and will be remembered.

Taking a detour.. Some bollywood songs just make you want to fall in love all over again.. all one needs to do is see the magic.
